Winter Trees

Writer: Editorial StaffEditorial Staff

by Seth Jani

The big fires have been burning for days. The messengers of cosmic time just touching the mountain. The doors open. The doors close. Light wanders through. It just shines there, rummaging for memories. In the life to come will we find ourselves repeating this moment? These moments? Is this the other world already? The blue silence burst from our hands like snowfall. The village grows quiet. I walk into the night and fall in love with grey shadows. The shape of all my days comes together, twisted and elegant, like the cold sumacs under the colder moon.
