Wildflowers
They sway
They like to grow on and on
Where the toad sleeps a warm slumber blue night
The vast of silence shocked by
The cardinal
that soars to supply songs in
Your body’s forest on which I’ve counted each branch
Our roots lay near the same dandelion tree
That grow one by one across the dirt path
Stephen Cecchini is an MSA student at Loyola University Chicago. During his free time, he likes to write in his imagery journal which contain the fruits of his poetry. He is also an editorial staff member at Diminuendo & Cadence – Loyola’s premier student-run literary magazine, published bi-annually. When not reading or writing he enjoys socializing at cafés and bars in Chicago.
