Painted Movements

Writer's picture: Editorial StaffEditorial Staff

by Paige McBride

i live in the skin of starsun and gilt-edged love.

in light I lift up your sunstarry eyeless eyes.

in shadow white mist the closing of an end

becomes crowning open bloom on my head,

among the painted movements of my wrist.

where I sit supreme I remain,

not ever taken back into the wake of your

charred arms, your inferno, your own white flamed

ruthless fiery field where your quietus soul now lives

in torment.
