Heaven

by Justin Lacour

If today for work i step into this hospital room where a stranger is dying and the television is on no one is watching but no one wants to turn it off either so Die Hard II is on with the sound off let me say nothing for i have no wisdom for last things one time i sat in the living room with a friend and hated every useless word i said it was like my friend wasn’t there just the cancer i couldn’t talk into remission and to waste away in a hospital bed while Bruce Willis kicks ass in the background makes no sense to me either the stranger gasps for air his eyes roll back he is precious to You Father Son Holy Spirit give him peace from torture give him Your heaven in the end and help my unbelief if it’s Your will pummel my body till i can picture heaven a heaven where we’ll miss nothing
